Description of  Turbine 1.0

This wireless speaker is actually a “parties maker”. With the powerful sound output, users can easily be stuck in the world of music. Turbine 1.0 is a subwoofer, its highest output power can reach 60W. If you collected two or more Turbine 1.0s, they can connect each other on your own. That way, you can easily create a big party. The color and brightness of the ambient lights can be controlled by the user's cellphone.

About the function of it, IPX6 water-proof and dust-proof make it safe to be brang to the field or some other outdoor places. Three support ribs are point symmetry, not only for the special look, they make users easily hold the speaker anywhere and put it on the ground. They also protect the speaker from breaking when it falls down or is hit by some stuff. 

Design Concept

I came out with this form from an ellipsoid, so its contour could be mellow and simple. I also got some ideas from aircraft turbines, and I transform them as the decoration of the speaker. With the ambient lights and shape of the turbine decoration, I was trying to express its power and energy. 

After some research, I found out some people like street dancers or skateboard players would hold this kind of speaker with them when they are dancing or skateboarding. To be suitable for people to play with it in any way or any pose, I made the three ribs look clear and comfortable for human hands. 

About the touch volume controllers, I design their shape as “+” and “-” to make them look simple and easy. At the least, there are four tiny beacon lights on the right side of buttons, they are setted for showing the battery capacity.
